One thing you have to remember with mobile printers, is that in comparison to a lot of portable printers, they’re already cheap. Cheap mobile mini printers for laptops offer a compromise between cost and quality. Let me explain…
You see, most portable printers are in color, have longer battery lifes and have larger ink tanks then mobile printers. For most people, this would be enough to assume that instantly portable printers are then superior when contrasted with cheap portable printers. This couldn’t be further from the case.
Now in my instances, if there are two pieces of technology, and one can do what the others does… But better, then most would consider it superior. This I’d usually agree with. But in the instance of cheap mobile printers then things change significantly. For a start, although for example, wireless portable printers for laptops can do more than mobile printers its not at a cost. You see, the main selling point of mobile printers are that they’re mobile. But as soon as you start adding on larger batteries and ink tanks clearly things are going to start to change. When you buy a cheap wireless mobile printer, you’re buying a compromise, not only do you get a cheaper device – you get a smaller portable printer. This means that in fact, if you’re going to be carrying this device around all day then you won’t want a printer that can print for longer, you won’t want one with larger ink tanks.
That’s the difference between mobile printers and most other pieces of equipment, when you do add on the extras then inevitably you’re going to be losing some of the portability aspect of the printer itself. This may not be a big deal if you’re going to just leave your portable printer in your car all day. But a lot of people use mobile printers on the go, and if it weighs significantly more than it’s going to make a big difference. That’s why it’s importable that when you pick a laptop printer, or any sort of portable printer or even any types of wireless portable printer models. You need to take a good look at your printing patterns to see how much you print, when you print, so you can make an informed choice as to whether it’s right for you.
