HP AirPrint Problems

The theory of HP’s AirPrint is very much a great one, but the execution has been mired in problems which can significantly undermine their performance as well as the credibility of Apple and Hewlett-Packard.// // To start with a very simple problem is that the printers just aren’t very good both in terms of hardware and software.  When it comes to the software there are numerous compatibility issues regarding their drivers which were simply not fully designed or tested.  This isn’t some sort of a ‘mistake’ in my opinion – trying to cater to Macs, PCs, Ipads, Iphones and [...] Read more...

HP AirPrint Benefits

When it comes down to it there are a lot of benefits which HP’s AirPrint Printers can bring to the table, but as with all things good there are the bad too.  Find out more below.// // When it comes down to it AirPrint by Apple and HP is a great concept and has some terrific advantages over other printers.  Firstly I’ll quickly summarize what it is and what it allows.  It enables printers to connect to a wireless access point (generally home networks) and receive printing instructions from Apple’s various devices (Ipad, Ipod Touch, Iphone) using [...] Read more...

HP Terrible Customer Service

This doesn’t usually affect my decision when I’m buying a wireless portable printerto take a look at, but HP’s customer service is literally terrible – it’s the worst I’ve ever had to endure in my life.// // Now look, let’s be honest, most customer services aren’t particularly good, they’re generally frustrating and annoying to endure.  But never have I had to restrain myself from swearing or focus my attention on ‘winning’ the battle that I felt like I was fighting on the phone when I was talking to their staff. To start with HP’s outsourced their customer support to [...] Read more...

HP AirPrint Printers List

When it comes to finding some of the Printers which HP has AirPrint enabled upon it can be a little tricky to find a list.  I also think it’s worth mentioning that although HP has been the only one to have access to enabling AirPrint on their devices so far, as of October 2011 Epson too released several of their own printers.  Find out more about the products below.   When it comes down to things I’m going to give my honest opinion when I say that overall HP’s AirPrint printers are wholly inferior to [...] Read more...

HP LaserJet Pro CM1415 AirPrint

HP LaserJet Pro CM1415 AirPrint

I’ve written quite a lot of critical reviews of HP’s AirPrint printers, and this LaserJet CM1415 is no massive exception to that trend.  Out of all of their bad AirPrint printers, this is probably their least worst design which is a definite improve over many of their other designs.  Find out more below.// // When it comes down to it then this printer still isn’t worth buying when compared to the various competition out there.  It’s the least bad of the worst of HP’s ePrint/AirPrint combination but it’s still overall a pretty weak product.  There [...] Read more...

HP Officejet Pro 8500A Airprint

HP Officejet Pro 8500A AirPrint

I’m actually getting a little bit sick of writing about HP’s Airprint printers because most of them are poor in design, quality and are plagued with software issues – the same is true of the Officejet Pro 8500A.// // Before I tell you about what’s ‘good’ about it, including its core functions, let me tell you why I wouldn’t buy this junk.  To start with there are numerous issues with regards to both software and hardware.  When I’m talking about software I’m referring to driver issues and installation issues.  These problems make it difficult or sometimes [...] Read more...

HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Airprint

HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf AirPrint

For a lot of HP’s AirPrint printers I’ve been very critical because of the poor designs.  On the other hand the LaserJet Pro M1536dnf is one of the admittedly few AirPrint enabled printers I’d actually consider buying.// // Firstly let’s take a look at the specifications because for how much you pay you get a pretty solid set of core capabilities.  To begin I’ll just start by saying that this is a black and white printer only, it’s a printer, copier, fax and scanner aimed more for businesses and commercial use. Another really critical difference [...] Read more...

HP Photosmart Premium C410a AirPrint

HP Photosmart Premium C410a AirPrint

This is one of the few AirPrint printers which HP have created which I won’t destroy with my cutting but accurate words.  The Photosmart Premium C410a is still not on par with many other printers, but it is a step up from HP’s other fiascoes.// // To start with let’s take quick look at the specifications.  It’s printing resolution is 600 dpi for black which is reasonable, not amazing but it’s okay.  It prints color to 9600 x 2400 dpi which is incredibly high and one of the best I’ve seen which makes it perfect for printing [...] Read more...

HP OfficeJet 6500a AirPrint

HP Officejet 6500A AirPrint

The truth is that a lot of new AirPrint enabled HP printers are not particularly reliable, and the OfficeJet 6500a isn’t particularly different from this tend.  As with all new things there’s always an initial wave of products which are inferior and it’s the later designs which iron out the mistakes.  In this case when you’re talking about a mix of HP, Apple, ePrint and AirPrint then there were bound to be some issues.  Find out more below.// // The OfficeJet 6500a AirPrint printer just isn’t that good.  It’s got some decent specifications, and it’s enabled with [...] Read more...

HP AirPrint Models

When it comes to the different models of AirPrint printers there are six from HP which you need to know about.  There are some definite let downs so you need to be aware which is right for you.// // To start with there are six different printers which are designed by HP with the go ahead from Apple which incorporate AirPrint (as well as Eprint) into the design.  This allows wireless printing from Apple’s three main devices – their Ipod Touch, Iphone and Ipad.  Up to this point printing from these devices was quite difficult [...] Read more...
